May-be

During "May-be" artists would, throughout the month of May, draw pictures that may, or may not depict mermaids, but there is insufficient information to conclusively say for sure one way or the other.

From a may-long series wherein each day I proposed an alternative to the "Mermay" Challenge.

Mermay Alternative 24: May-be

I watched a tutorial on how to draw water. I think I retained some of it, but it was enough leave me happy with how this turned out.

Here's the original rough draft I made. It kind of felt like she was a giant in the middle of a lake, so I showed it to some other artists and came up with some solutions:
-Raise the horizon
-Resize the eyes to match
-Adjust focus
-Leaves for scale.
